Salvation by Grace... but what about works?

The Bible teaches that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works. The fruit of our salvation is good works that God has prepared for us to do.

Roman Catholicism, Islam, Freemasonry, Mormonism, Hinduism, Buddhism and all the rest of the false religions and philosophies of this world teach some form of salvation by works.

How shall we teach from the Bible to present the Biblical Gospel of Jesus Christ?

How shall we teach the Biblical view of good works?

You already hit on the means in your OP. That reference to " good works that God has prepared for us to do" is a reference to "works" that Christians are to be engaged in working. too many folks think that scripture says there is no merit in "works" and quote Paul as the source for the doctrine, but Paul was speaking specifically about "works of the law" by which no man will be justified. But that leaves many works that God himself designed before he made the world, for us to do.

Teaching, preaching, feeding the hungry, caring for the poor, the broken hearted, the lost and straying souls, etc.

Even getting up out of bed an hour earlier in the morning to preach the gospel online, is a work many of us can engage in.

What say you?

Welcome to the discussion board, Theo_Book.

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Good works are the result of a life of faith in Jesus Christ.
