As mentioned before, every translation has some problems, including the KJV. To claim infallibility on the work of the KJV translators is without cause.
You can't rely on just one translation all the time, as you mentioned you have to study and look things up. You failed to mention that the ASV, DARBY, GOD'S WORD TRANSLATION, MKJV and YLT all translated the word VIRGIN just like the KJV. They almost all translated the the other verses you mentioned the same as the KJV or very similar.
