Re: One God in Three Persons
Dear Theo_Book, It is very probable that we will never convince you to take a trinitarian view, nor is it likely that you will shake us out of that view. So it may be more edifying to let it go. But one last question if I may. What do you do with the fact that in Hebrews 1:8 the Father says to the S...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Another thought on this same topic. In the book of Isaiah (Isaiah 48:16), the Father and the Spirit send the Son. In the book of John (John 14:26), seems the Father and the Son send the Spirit. Finally in the book of Revelation (Revelation 21:3), God Himself is promised to dwell with men. Once again...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Hello Theo_Book, Welcome to the discussion board! I can't help but wonder if we aren't saying the same thing from different angles in the following quote. Actually echad references those things that are singular in nature, but exclusive; like one flesh to the exclusion of all others, one God to the ...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Hi Folks, We can clearly see the Trinity in the Old Testament: In Isaiah 48:16; "Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there [am] I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me." We can also clearly see the Tri...

Re: Ever notice this?
I love the "wordplay" found in many scriptures. One of my favorites is a similitude found in "the Akida" Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac (showing Messiah's sacrifice for us!). Included in the pictures of Messiah's sacrifice are: *The only "beloved" son. Genesis 22:2/John 3...

Re: The great tribulation
Hi David and Jim, Rather than re-present the Scriptures that discuss the Antichrist, I would just like to present my thoughts on some of the scriptures that have made me think from my beginning walk in faith ( before I heard of any teachings on dispensations or pre, post, or mid, just reading the Bi...

Re: Whats been going in my brain lately
HI David and Jim, So far I think I'm the third to post on this. I am kinda concerned about how many folks are saying that we "need to learn the Hebrew roots to understand scripture". I have said repeatedly to friends who mention this that I love the Hebrew roots and the many things we can ...
