Re: One God in Three Persons
JW or Morman? call it as you see it, thats ok. But my religious point of view is grounded in Isaiah 56. Jim it's been a pleasure you take care and please know what I expressed wasn't mean't to be contenious. I do believe Yeshua was sent by God, and I do believe he was an obedient servant, truely the...

Re: One God in Three Persons
mmm not to sure about that myself anymore. Most telling thing for me that Yeshua is NOT God icarnate is there were two very disticnt wills in operation in the garden of Gethsemane. If he had a choice he would rather have the cup pass from him but he clearly submits his will to that of God's will. ‘F...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Could you offer one source where he claimed to be God? From what I've read they could NOT find any cause for a death sentence. If he claimed to be God (of which I find no evidence) it would have given every Jew within ear shot of such a claim the lawful right to stone him to death on the spot. ‘My b...

Re: One God in Three Persons
If the text is read as is I am thinking it should be Yeshua is simply claiming to be the Messiah appointed from eternity, or he may be his superiority to Abraham. But 'I am' isn't a proof of his divinity or a claim to be God. Had he intended it to be heard as a claim to divinity every devout Jewish ...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Im sort of going through alot as my studies take me places. One fault of mine is after reading certain scriptures and books then posting thinking I have the answer when I really am just sort of verbalizing whats going through my little pea brain sometimes. I really don't think Yeshua pre-existed in ...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Also, whats the Gospel? Actually I asked: what Word was it that was made manifest in the flesh? thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path . How was it He was so knowledgable and intimate with God's commandments how was it even as a young man He was able to astonish the elders and oth...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Now when the bible talks about God it says things like He was not created had no beginning or end, this means since the bible clearly says that Jesus and the Holy Spirit have the same attributes of God the Father that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are also like God in that they were not created nor hav...

Re: One God in Three Persons
It is true man was created in the image of God. But I think when people hear about being made in His image they tend to think maybe they are themselves 'little gods' or may let their imaginations run wild what His image may be. I just looked at how man was created to find out a possible explanation ...

Re: One God in Three Persons
It sounds like your making this way more complicated than it is, scripture says at face value that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one and plural, don't you believe. I think we agree but go about explaining it differently. Man was made in the image of God. I thought by looking at how man was mad...

Re: One God in Three Persons
Hi again, it's been awhile since my last rant on this trinity subject. In the first book of Moses it says man was created in the image of God. Many I think immediately start working their imaginations to try and explain what Gods image might look like. I took another route, I looked at man himself a...

Re: One God in Three Persons
I now how ya feel, if my knowledge on the subject were compared to the universe I'd feel as if I were boasting to say it would barely amount to the size of a molecule. His ways are far above our own.

Re: One God in Three Persons
oh, sorry, in answer to your question whether I think like Theo-Book I'd have to say NO to that. I do not think of Messiah as a created being. How can anyone say God and His Word are one then turn right around and say Messiah was created? Nor do I believe the 1st century ecumenical laws and creeds t...

Re: Whats been going in my brain lately
Jesus is our Passover [ lamb ]. Yes I agree He is the fulfillment of the ceremony which was only a shadow. Agreed The Old Testament is the foundation for the New. Since testament defined is 'will'. I would think the old testament not so much as a foundation or an interpretation. But rather His old ...

Re: Whats been going in my brain lately
Do you eat the little wafer and small drop of wine? The Greeks translated it communion or Lords Supper and still nobody I met met knows how oft it need be done. News flash it the 14th day of Nisan. Even Christ said go prepare a table for the Passover. He kept the commandment of God why do some pick ...
